Carolyn S. Gonzalez is a doctoral candidate in English specializing in medieval English literature and disability studies. She is the Associate Dean of the Communication, English, and Media Department at Kirkwood Community College, where she also teaches literature, speech, and writing courses. Carolyn previously served as the Assistant Director of the Writing and Media Center at Iowa State University. As a proud first-generation student and academic momma of three, Carolyn is an advocate for working and student mothers, accessible education, and creating spaces in which all students can thrive.
